For Autumn Winter 2021 Sphere One heads Upriver where the dappled light reveals a myriad of colours and textures. The collection reflects the natural landscape at the source of the River Liffey in the Wicklow mountains. Soil, river, mountains and woodlands are evoked in the rich tones of the collection in colours named Gorse, Bracken, Linden, Overhang, Deep Pool, Reed, and Wet Road. Thoughtful detailing adds tonal contrast - a ruffled silk chiffon shoulder detail flows down the sleeves of new style Capillary, while silk grosgrain sash and ribbon details give style Honor a slight military nod.

The sleeveless Robin vest in textural purl stitch recalls the style of family friend architect Robin Walker. The Whinpool is embellished with handmade silk chiffon flowers, inspired by the bright pea flowers from the hardy gorse or whin shrubs that light up the mountainous Wicklow landscape even in the winter months.
